The Association was originally named the 135th Infantry Officers Veteran Association (1931) and was composed of commissioned officers who served from 1916 to 1918. The group grew to be a regimental association and changed its name (March 25, 1939). It later granted membership to World War II and Korean War veterans (Oct. 25, 1962).
